Inspired by the shores of Arabia, Disneyland Brazil welcomes guests to one of its three new islands in Adventureland. Desert Island transports visitors right into the middle of a marketplace, where they are immersed in the sights, sounds and smells of an authentic Arabian world. Beautiful architecture, that feels both grand and lived-in, defines this land.
This mini-land takes many stylistic queues and nods from the "Arabian Coast" themed area at Tokyo Disneyland Resort's Tokyo DisneySea. However, all attractions, dining and shopping are completely unique experiences that cannot be found anywhere else on the planet.

D-Ticket Dark Ride
D-Ticket Dark Ride
Standing tall at the back half of the Arabian Island is a full-sized replica of the Sultan's Palace. Inside the walls of this mighty fortress is the very first ride based on Disney's 1992 animated film: Aladdin's Whole New World. On this epic adventure, we can relive the action, romance and thrills of one of the greatest adventure stories ever told.
The queue is pretty simple. It's what you expect the inside of a royal palace should look like. Guests pass by flowing fountains and trinkets as they make their way to the loading dock. An animatronic Iago sits on a ledge. He will occasionally butt in on people's conversations. Once there, a flying carpet, which is suspended from above (ala Peter Pan), arrives into the load. The carpet seats six. Basically, the carpet is going to look like it's just floating on the floor, but once the guests get into it, they'll find that it's deeper than it actually is.
Once the carpet starts to move, guests turn a corner to see Jasmine staring at the night sky, yearning for a life outside the palace walls. Guests find themselves flying out of a palace window. They fly through the sky for a brief moment, then move down to the ground and find the peddler, riding his camel and while all this happens, we hear him sing “Arabian Nights”. The next scene takes place in the marketplace. This part has a few sharp turns, as you ride through the alleyways and streets, trying to avoid guards. Aladdin and Abu appear from behind a corner and hastily point the way out of the marketplace. It looks like trouble may be ahead. After escaping the marketplace, you find yourself in a wind blown desert. With the use of wind machines and projections, it adds new dimension to the scene.

Moving on from the marketplace, you find yourself at the entrance of the Cave of Wonders.
You enter in and are surrounded by all sorts of rare treasure.
On a staircase leading up to a podium, lies the magic lamp.

On a staircase leading up to a podium, lies the magic lamp.
Guests circle the lamp, as a projected Genie appears from within it. Genie invites Guests into the lamp. This part was sort of inspired by the Heffalumps and Woozles scene on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Guests enter into a colorful, bright dimension. There are Genie's scattered all throughout the room, all singing "Friend Like Me".
With the use of mirrors, it looks like there are even more. There's fiber optics, projections, and a bunch of hidden effects to see. All of a sudden the room goes dark, and you feel yourself exiting the lamp, as wind blasts you.
The wind “propels” us into Aladdin (as Prince Ali)’s procession to the palace. We fly around the floats, dancers and stop to wave to Aladdin, who waves to us from Abu (as an elephant). You enter the next room and Jafar now holds the lamp. Jasmine is chained against the wall and Aladdin, with sword in hand, threatens Jafar. As you exit the room, you hear Jafar chant a spell and see red electric bolts ahead. In the next room, a large Genie Jafar threatens the guests, as he enchants spells. As you turn a corner, a projection of Genie Jafar plays, as Aladdin brings him into the lamp.

We enter the final scene; the most elaborate scene in the ride: the "A Whole New World" sequence. Here, we soar over the city of Agrabah, as we would the city of London on Peter Pan's Flight. A triumphant instrumental of "A Whole New World" plays as we soar. As we leave the scene, we pass by Aladdin and Jasmine on their own magic carpet. Abu is perched on his shoulder. They wave to the guests. Genie floats across the room. He remarks to the guests to "come back real soon", as they enter the unload area. There is a mural of Agrabah at the unload dock. Guests exit the building and back into the palace courtyard.
The rest of the palace is fully explorable. You can visit the gardens, the throne room and even visit the dark laboratories where Jafar once concocted his nasty schemes. This is also the place to meet Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie and Abu. They alternate between the garden and the throne room.
